Procurement Support Officer

We are looking for a mid-level Procurement Support Officer who is passionate about our mission to driving financial inclusion in Africa.The role holder will be responsible for managing and performing assigned tasks effectively, to work together with others as a cohesive team, communicate and act professionally within the workplace and with clients and also maintain a good knowledge of job deliverables.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receiving, moving, checking and storing incoming materials.
• Checking and inspecting materials received and ensuring they are of accurate quantities.
• Attending to material request applications from Operators and distribute the materials out to Operators according their request every week.
• Responsible for material utilisation rate and material suggestion feedback collection.
• Develop suppliers, negotiate prices and place orders according to superior requirements.
• Keeping update of Purchase & inventory records and coordinating periodic stock count exercise.
• Preparing and giving prompt feedbacks of inbound and outbound stock to the Superior.
• Proactive forecast of future materials needs and report to the Superior when the stock is below safety amount to prevent stock shortages.
• Executing other tasks assigned by the Superior.

Person Specification:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing procured materials and having supplier resources.
• Excellent mathematical calculation skills.
• Proficiency in using Excel, Word and other Office software.
• Excellent communication and return visits with BDs and merchants, improving the utilisation rate of materials in the market.
• Excellent negotiation skills, reducing procurement costs.
• Honest and detail-oriented.
• Strong sense of responsibility.
