IT Assistant

About the job

Our client, a logistics/haulage company is hiring a competent IT Assistant. Successful candidates will be charged with the responsibility of configuration, development, and maintenance of computer systems and networks, which include but are not limited to maintaining computer systems, upgrading servers, securing server data, and programming for a company’s day-to-day operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhering to all applicable requirements of the ISO 9001 QMS and ISO 22000 FSMS international standard.
• To carry out all QMS and FSMS responsibilities as assigned by Top management
• Install and configure software and hardware.
• Conduct network troubleshooting to segregate and identify general network problems.
• Manage, maintain and update onsite and Regional site copiers, printers.
• Manage network servers, troubleshoot issues, outages and technology tools.
• Set up accounts and workstations, monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
• Perform Implementation of ICT strategies/policies and introduction/implementation of new technologies focusing on compliance with corporate information management and technology standards, guidelines and procedures for company technology management.
• Adhering to all applicable requirements of the ISO 9001 QMS and ISO 22000 FSMS international standard
• Windows Server Active Directory service configuration, set up and Management, Vis-a vis Group Policy management.
• Provide strategic guidance with regards to technology, IT Infrastructure and enabling major business processes through enhancements to IT.
• Support implementation and planning of deletions, additions and major changes to support regional infrastructure.
• Carry all other IT related tasks that may be assigned to you by the IT Manager and Management
