Social Media Manager

We are a fast-growing invoicing and accounting startup, seeking a Social Media Manager Intern who is excited to have a hand in developing a social media strategy from the beginning and seeing it through to launch. This role will gain visibility into the inner workings of a startup and have the ability to develop an authentic, engaged community and shape a multi-channel social media presence from launch.

The ideal candidate for this role is an eager, self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. A passion for language, vocabulary and reading is also a plus! It will be a quick onboarding with the goal of bringing this company to life in a matter of months.

Responsibilities

• Ideate, design and execute social media campaigns across multiple channels – that aligns with the marketing strategy and brand values
• Create and manage content calendar across all channels
• Draft articles, videos and drive product-led conversations across social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn)
• Engage with social media community, respond to questions and engage with likeminded accounts on different platforms
• Identify influencers for potential collaborations and partnerships
• Research industry trends and monitoring campaign performances
• Brainstorm and develop new strategies to increase social media engagement
• Curate user-generated content and relevant news coverage to incorporate across different platforms
• Analyse social media activities with tracking systems to gather relevant data and report to determine efficacy and areas for social media campaign improvement.

Skills

• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
• Proficiency with Canva
• Familiar with all major social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Video Editing Software (iMovie, Premiere, Final Cut..), and Photography is a plus, but not a requirement.
