Human Resource Manager
About the job
We are currently seeking a full-time (must be available remotely during working hours) skilled and detail-oriented HR/Payroll Officer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees as well as generalised HR tasks. Your key responsibilities will include:
Payroll (40%):
- Accurate and timely delivery of weekly payroll for employees across the country
- Ensuring timesheets, leave requests, payroll changes, records and other related material are completed prior to the commencement of processing the weekly payroll.
- Responding to all payroll-related queries in a timely and sensitive manner.
Human Resources (60%)
- Managing internal and external queries (redirecting as required)
- Recruitment coordinator with the ability to interpret and manage company policies and downward interpretations
- Ensuring HR compliance e.g., eligibility maintenance, filing of employee documentation, updating internal systems etc.
- Issuing queries, filing staff behaviour records and reporting to relevant team members
- Ensuring updated working tools and purchases for all staff
- Uphold Company Values and Behaviours and take reasonable care to miscommunication with others
Scheduling:
- Proactively scheduling & dispatching shifts
- To participate in allocation planning with Senior Scheduling Officer.
- Participate in meetings, both internal and external, communicating action points, creating actions lists and completing them in a timely manner
- To plan the daily schedules for each staff and allocate via the LMS
- To resolve scheduling issues with staff as they arise, escalating to the Senior Scheduling Officer where necessary
- Run daily reporting to check for shifts that are completed, cancelled or rescheduled
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role you will already have prior experience in a similar role together with:
- Tertiary qualification (or working towards) in HR is highly desirable, or a strong understanding of general HR principles.
- At least 2 years’ previous experience in payroll processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint etc.)
- Knowledge of the basic principles or rostering and scheduling
- Ability to understand and interpret internal policies to stakeholders
- Awareness and ability to maintain the confidential nature of payroll data and other sensitive information.
- Extremely high level of attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Prior experience in recruitment and/or delivering HR initiatives favourable
- Excellent written communication skills
