We are hiring a Developer Advocate who is excited about helping millions of people and organizations achieve more through low code app development.  The Developer Advocate will be a highly competent developer who will be focused on helping other low code/no code and code first developers build world class business apps and automations taking advantage of the Power Platform and related technologies, including Power Apps (Canvas and Model Driven), Power Pages, Power Automate/RPA, Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse, PowerBI, Dynamics, SharePoint, Azure and the entirety of the Microsoft Cloud.Â

Qualifications
Required QualificationsÂ
- 4+ years of hands-on experience or equivalent experience with the Power Platform
- Experience or equivalent experience with the following related technologies: Microsoft Teams, Dynamics, SharePoint, Azure, SQL, REST APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), .NET, Microsoft Graph, HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Preferred QualificationsÂ
- Proven experience working with 3rd party communities, social media, and blogging/video.
- Solid communication skills – ability to be both a strong technical writer as well as a dynamic public speaker.Â
- A self-starter that can manage and prioritize initiatives that will make our developers and platform the most successful.Â
- Someone who is comfortable on stage and on camera because there will be lots of on camera presentations.
- Ability to travel depending on where local and national developer events are held.Â
- Previous experience as a developer advocate, developer evangelist, or external developer-focused role.Â
Bonus:Â
- Demonstrated experience in building scalable Power Platform based business applications which utilize integrations and best practices with COE (Center of Excellence) Toolkit, Solutioning, Dataflows, Environment Variables, CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) pipelines, Power Platform CLI (command-line interface), and Azure and/or .NET integration is a desirable bonus.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Â
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Â
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be focused on Cloud Advocacy for the Power Platform for no code/low code and code first developers.Â
Specific job responsibilities include:
- Creating technical content, videos, and samples from beginner to advanced that use 2 or more of Microsoft’s cloud offerings: Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, .NET, and Dynamics 365.
- Amplify this content and champion the Power Platform in developer communities at conferences, meetups, coding bootcamps, online forums, social media, and more.Â
- Build relationships with key influencers, foster a healthy technical community, and collect and prioritize product feedback and technical blockers with engineering.Â
- Highlighting stories of customers who are doing exceptional work in their communities and businesses.
- Win the hearts and minds of developers by building and/or contributing to key open-source projects and building cool, useful, and/or productive apps.Â
- Use data, experiments, and customer feedback to drive growth in your community and help Microsoft build better features, products, and experiences.Â
