Birmingham Business School Masters Scholarships are designed to empower the next generation of leaders who are passionate about advancing responsible business and driving positive change.
For 2025, we are offering several scholarships to invest in future leaders who will set new global standards for responsible business leadership through challenging the status quo to seek progressive solutions to complex global challenges.
Number of Scholarship Awards
Chancellors Scholarships – for Indian Students
- Awards of up to £6,000 are available to individuals who demonstrate academic excellence and passion to advance responsible business and drive positive change.
- Value: Up to £6,000
- How many of these scholarships are available? Ten
- Eligibility:Â Offer-holders domiciled in India who have received an offer to study a taught Masters degree with Birmingham Business School in September 2025.
- How do I apply? You will receive a link to apply shortly after you receive your formal offer letter.
- Can I receive this scholarship as well as the 125th-anniversary award?
- Yes, if you are eligible for a 125th-anniversary award, you can also be awarded the chancellor’s award.
- Deadline to apply:Â 31 May 2025
Chancellors Scholarships – for Chinese Students Excelling in Economics and Finance
- Awards of up to £6,000 are available to Chinese offer-holders studying economics or finance degrees to advance their understanding of responsible business and drive positive change.
- Value: Up to £6,000
- How many of these scholarships are available? Ten
- Eligibility:Â Offer-holders domiciled in China who have received an offer to study a taught Masters degree in the economics or finance department with Birmingham Business School in September 2025.
- How do I apply? Once you have received your offer, please contact your agent and express your interest in applying for this scholarship.
- Deadline to apply:Â 31 May 2025
Deans Award for Academic Excellence
- Awards of up to £10,000 available to offer-holders who demonstrate academic excellence and eagerness to advance their understanding of responsible business and drive positive change.
- Value: Up to £10,000
- How many of these scholarships are available? Ten
- Eligibility: Offer-holders domiciled outside of China and India who have received an offer to study a taught Masters degree with Birmingham Business School in September 2025. Students from China and India should apply for the Chancellors Awards.

- Deadline to apply: 31 May 2025, however, these scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis, and applying early is recommended.
Deans Responsible Business Award
- Awards of up to £15,000 are available to offer-holders who demonstrate academic excellence and eagerness to advance their understanding of responsible business and drive positive change.
- Value: Up to £15,000
- How many of these scholarships are available? Ten
- Eligibility: Offer-holders domiciled outside of China and India who have received an offer to study a taught Masters degree with Birmingham Business School in September 2025. Students from China and India should apply for the Chancellors Awards.

125th Anniversary Scholarships – for international students
In 2025, we are celebrating 125 years of University status by Royal Charter, by offering prestigious 125th Anniversary Scholarships to international students who pursue their Masters degree with us at the University of Birmingham in September 2025.
As part of this celebration, Birmingham Business School is offering £5,000 automatic awards to eligible offer-holders joining one of our select Masters degrees in September 2025.
