The PhD Prep Fellowship, organized by The Admit Lab, provides aspiring PhD candidates with resources to secure admission into top doctoral programs. The initiative aims to empower scholars dedicated to research and academic excellence.

The PhD Prep Fellowship For International Students 2025 Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Have a clear and compelling vision for their future research or academic goals.
• Be in the process of applying to PhD programs within the next 12 months.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence and professional development.

The PhD Prep Fellowship For International Students 2025 Benefits

• $10,000 in Admit Lab credits for PhD application support, including program selection, research statement guidance, statement of purpose review, and interview preparation.
• Personalized assistance tailored to enhance the PhD application process.

Application Requirements

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV) – Highlighting academic achievements, research experience, and relevant skills.
2. Essay 1 (300 words) – Describing academic and research goals, motivation for pursuing a PhD, and how the fellowship will support the journey.
3. Essay 2 (300 words) – Sharing personal experiences, values, and how the applicant’s background contributes to the academic community.
4. Video Submission (2-3 minutes):
   • Explain motivation for pursuing a PhD and how the fellowship will help.
   • Include a call to action encouraging others to apply.
   • Post publicly on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube with hashtags #WhyPhD and #AdmitLab and tag The Admit Lab.
5. Submission: Email the CV, essays, and URL(s) of the social media post(s) to fellowship@admit-lab.com.

Selection Criteria

• Potential impact and originality of proposed research.
• Quality, creativity, and authenticity of the video submission.
• Depth of insight and reflection in the essays.
• Engagement metrics (likes, shares, and comments) on the video.

Application Process

1. Prepare Application Materials (CV, essays, and video).
2. Record & Post Video following guidelines.
3. Submit Application via email with required materials.

• Winners Announced: June 15th & September 15th

Additional Notes

• The fellowship does not cover tuition or application fees; it only provides application support services.
• Only individuals applying to PhD programs are eligible (Master’s students are not eligible).
• Previous winners cannot reapply, but unsuccessful applicants may reapply.
• Recipients are expected to share video updates about their academic journey and promote the fellowship.
