Beijing Government Scholarship for New International Students (2025) Overview
The Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS) supports outstanding international students pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU).
How to Apply

Online Application
- Register at BFSU International Student Service System.
- Complete the Application Form for Foreign Students to BFSU and download it.

Email Submission
- Send the required documents to the designated email of your school with the subject:
“Apply for BGS + Applicant’s Name + Passport No. + Name of School”.

✔ Beijing Government Scholarship Application Form
✔ Highest academic certificate & transcripts
✔ HSK certificate (for Chinese-taught programs) / English proficiency certificate
✔ Supporting materials (recommendation letters, awards, etc.)
Beijing Government Scholarship for New International Students (2025) Benefits
- Full Scholarship: Covers tuition for one academic year.
- Partial Scholarship: Covers tuition for one semester.
(Scholarship is granted as a tuition reduction or exemption only.)
Selection & Confirmation
- BFSU will review applications and select outstanding candidates.
- The final list of winners will be announced on the BFSU Overseas Students Affairs Office website within five working days.
Important Notes
✅ Applicants must first meet BFSU’s 2024 Admission Requirements and be accepted for enrollment.
✅ If an applicant is not admitted, the scholarship will be automatically canceled.
✅ Application documents will not be returned, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
✅ Applicants must ensure authenticity of submitted materials—any falsification results in disqualification.
