FIAS Fellowship Programme 2026: Overview
The French Institutes for Advanced Study (FIAS) Fellowship Programme invites applications for the 2026–2027 academic year. This prestigious international mobility program offers 10-month residential fellowships to high-level researchers across the social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary fields. Fellows will benefit from full academic freedom and vibrant scholarly environments at one of seven IAS locations: Aix-Marseille, Cergy, Loire Valley (Orléans-Tours), Lyon, Montpellier, Nantes, or Paris.
FIAS-FP is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Program through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and is co-financed by the France 2030 national plan.
FIAS Fellowship Programme 2026: Eligibility

Open to experienced international researchers (typically Ph.D. holders with a strong academic record)

Scholars from all disciplines in the social sciences and humanities, or research at the interface of these disciplines

Applicants must not have spent more than 12 months in France during the 3 years prior to the application deadline

Must have at least 2 years of full-time research experience after completing a PhD (or equivalent research experience)
