COP30 Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP) Reporting Fellowship for Journalists 2025: Overview
The Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP), led by Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) and the Stanley Center for Peace and Security, is inviting applications for the COP30 CCMP Reporting Fellowship. This program will support selected journalists from low- and middle-income countries to attend and report on the 30th UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), scheduled to take place in Belém, Brazil, from November 10-21, 2025.
Since 2007, over 500 journalists have benefited from this program, which aims to build media capacity in climate change reporting globally. The program will offer in-person and virtual fellowships in 2025, providing training, editorial support, and opportunities for impactful climate journalism.
COP30 Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP) Reporting Fellowship for Journalists 2025: Eligibility
Applicants must:

Be a professional journalist from or representing an established media house in a low- or middle-income country as defined by the World Bank.

Never have I attended a COP summit before (either self-funded or through a fellowship).

Be available to travel to Belém, Brazil (for in-person fellows).

Have a good command of English.

Have prior experience reporting on climate change.

Commit to full participation in fellowship activities.

Provide:

A current CV/resume.
-
A 2-minute video explaining their intended reporting focus at COP30.

Letter of support from an editor confirming commitment to publish stories from COP30.

Two recent work samples on climate change were published between July 15, 2024, and July 15, 2025.

Clear reporting plan for COP30, including story ideas.

Virtual fellowships are reserved for journalists from Pacific Island countries.

Selection Criteria
