Global Leadership Accelerator 2025: OverviewÂ
The WIN Global Leadership Accelerator 2025 is a prestigious 21-week programme designed for mid-level newsroom managers (journalists and editors) from emerging, transitional, and fragile states. It aims to build leadership capacity, offer expert media management training, and expand international professional networks.
. Application deadline: 29 June 2025
. Programme launch: 17 July 2025
. Duration: 21 weeks (approx. 5 months)
Eligibility Criteria
. 5–10 years of direct newsroom experience (as a reporter, correspondent, or editor)
. Must identify as a woman and/or come from a historically vulnerable or at-risk community
. Strong passion for journalism, press freedom, gender equality, and inclusion
. Strong written and spoken English skills
. Located outside of traditional WIN Accelerator markets
. Able to commit 1–2 hours per week over 21 weeks (max. 20% absence allowed)
Program Components
. Weekly online training sessions in the newsroom and media leadership
. 1-on-1 ICF-certified coaching to develop a 3–5 year personal career roadmap
. Access to a global network of media professionals
. Certificate of Completion with a professional designation from WAN-IFRA
