GREEN-STEM Full Degree Scholarships for African Women 2025: Overview
The GREEN-STEM project is offering fully funded Master’s and PhD degree scholarships for African women under its 2025 call. This opportunity is aimed at empowering women in STEM by supporting full-time study at selected African universities. Applicants must not apply to their home university or graduating university.
Master’s Degree Scholarships
Available Positions

4 Master’s candidates: From the University of the Witwatersrand (or Wits graduates) to any of the other partner universities

1 Master’s candidate: From University of Lagos (or Unilag graduates) to University of the Witwatersrand
Scholarship Benefits

Duration: 22 months

Monthly stipend: €890
-
Application fees, visa, and insurance contributions are covered

Tuition fees waived
-
Travel costs: At the grantee’s expense

Eligibility Criteria

Only open to women
-
Must be of African nationality and reside in an African country

Target Group 1 (TG1):

Graduates or current students of the University of Nairobi, the University of Rwanda, the University of Lagos, or the University of the Witwatersrand

Target Group 2 (TG2):

Women from Carnegie Mellon University Africa (Rwanda) or American University in Cairo (Egypt), both AFRETEC members
