CQA Master’s Scholarships 2025: Overview

The CQA Master’s Scholarships are designed to attract top-performing students from around the world to pursue Master’s degrees in Quantum Science and Technologies (QST) at leading universities in Spain. Up to 15 scholarships are awarded annually to support studies in eligible Master’s programs at UB, UAB, UPC, and ICFO.

CQA Master’s Scholarships 2025: Benefits

• Full tuition coverage for 1 academic year (60 ECTS)

• Funded by ICFO on behalf of CQA

• Open to local, EU, and international students

• Focus on gender balance (maximum 60% from any one gender)

• No nationality restrictions

CQA Master’s Scholarships 2025: Eligible

You must be newly admitted to one of the following programs:

1. Master in Quantum Science and Technologies (UB, UAB, UPC)

   • No track requirements.

2. Master in Photonics (UPC, UB, UAB)

   • Must take Quantum Optics electives and do QST-related thesis.

3. Master in Engineering Physics (UPC)

   • Must take Quantum Track electives and do QST-related thesis.

Students already enrolled in any of these Master’s programs are not eligible.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must begin the program in September 2025

• Must apply and gain admission into an eligible master’s program independently

• High academic performance and leadership potential

• Strong command of English

• Must submit all documents and contact details for 1 referee

Application Requirements

Submit via the official application form:

• Motivation Letter (mention program, QST-related courses, internships, or research plans)

• CV (with contact details, in English)

• Academic transcripts (in English or Spanish)

• Contact of 1 referee

It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure all materials are submitted and the referee is informed.

• Admission confirmation into eligible Master’s program

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an online interview or asked to provide further clarification.

Evaluation and Notification

• First 7 scholarships: Awarded to candidates who apply before April 30, 2025

• Rolling evaluation until July 1, 2025

• Applicants will receive updates by the end of the following month after each round
