Product Manager at NCCER, Remote (Global)
NCCER has an exciting opportunity in the Digital Learning department for someone who is passionate about revolutionizing craft training in the construction industry. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Product Manager to lead the development and growth of our newest online training program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital product management, learning technologies, mobile apps, and user-centered design, with a passion for improving adult learning outcomes and helping the entire construction industry level up their skills.
Responsibilities:
Deeply understand the market and customer needs.
- Spend time in the field to deeply understand the construction company buyer and the craft professionals they need to train.
- Collaborate with the marketing department on market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities for differentiation, and unmet customer needs.
- Determine our opportunities for product-market fit in various segments of the construction industry (e.g., SMB, large contractors, specialty vs. general contractors).
Lead through influence the cross-functional effort to build, deliver, and improve the product.
- Articulate and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the online training program, which includes a mix of web apps and mobile apps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, developers, project managers, and support to create and enhance the digital learning experience for craft professionals.
- Partner with our instructional design lead to shape the roadmap of crafts we will develop as we build out the product catalog.
- Coordinate across NCCER teams and functions to ensure the customer has a great experience all the way from product consideration through purchase, usage, and renewal. This includes working closely with IT and Finance functions to ensure that purchasing, invoicing, and revenue recognition happens smoothly and accurately.
- Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing optimization.
- Work closely with technology teams to ensure seamless integration of learning management systems (LMS), third-party tools, and other digital resources.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, accessibility standards, and best practices in online education.
- Develop and manage product performance KPIs, ensuring that the program is effective, scalable, and user-friendly, with a high renewal rate.
Drive the product’s commercial success and industry wide impact.Â
- Collaborate with NCCER executive leadership to set and adjust as necessary the product pricing, usage and renewal terms, and any promotional offers.
- Provide enablement, support, and product expertise to the marketing, business development, workforce development, and customer support teams who sell and deliver the product.
- Gather and analyze user feedback, engagement metrics, and learning outcomes to drive continuous product improvements and product-market fit.
- Serve as an NCCER representative in presentations and meetings with customers and industry partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Learning Technology, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within EdTech, online learning, or digital training programs.
- Proven ability to develop, launch, and manage digital products with a focus on user experience and learning outcomes.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with commercial aspects of product management including budgeting, P&L modeling, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), content authoring tools including video, mobile app development, and adaptive learning technologies.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data analytics and user feedback to drive product decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Executive presence to represent NCCER to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
