The University of Western Australia (UWA) invites applications for the 2026 International Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend and Tuition Fee Scholarships. This competitive, merit-based scholarship supports international students pursuing a Master’s by Research or a Doctoral degree (PhD) across all research areas.

Scholarship Value

• Annual stipend of AUD $37,000 (2026 rate), paid fortnightly

• Full tuition fee waiver

• Scholarship duration:

  • 2 years for a Master’s by Research

  • 3.5 years for PhD (Doctoral Research)

• Automatically considered for other UWA scholarships when you apply

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be an international student

• Meet UWA’s HDR admission requirements
