Study in Slovakia Scholarships 2025/2026 Up to €15,000 Scholarship for Talented International Students in the Heart of Europe
Overview
The Study in Slovakia Scholarship Programme provides financial support for talented international students, including Slovaks living abroad, who wish to pursue Bachelor’s, combined Bachelor’s and Master’s, or Master’s studies in selected fields at public Slovak universities. The scheme promotes academic excellence in areas supporting Slovakia’s Smart Specialisation Strategy (SK RIS3 2021+) and is funded by the Slovak government and the EU through ESIF.

€500/month for 10 months per academic year

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
-
Be a citizen of a country other than Slovakia
-
Not have resided in Slovakia (permanent or temporary) since Jan 1, 2020, with few exceptions (Erasmus+, academic preparation programs, RRP scholarship holders)
-
Not having studied in a Slovak secondary school or university (except for mobility programs or RRP-supported Bachelor’s)

Hold a:
-
Completed secondary education for a Bachelor’s

Completed a Bachelor’s degree for a Master’s
-

Apply to a selected public Slovak HEI and be enrolled in full-time, in-person study

Submit:
-
A CV in English
-
A motivation letter in English
-
All required solemn declarations
-
A valid SAT score of at least 1100
-
No upper age limit, but applicants under 18 will need a signed guardian approval.
Selection Criteria

Only the SAT test score will be used for selection

Minimum: 1100

Must be taken between Jan 1, 2020 – July 31, 2025

SAT cannot be waived or substituted.
