The Bridge Scholarship is an annual, fully funded program designed to support intelligent but financially disadvantaged students enrolled in Nigerian public universities. The scholarship covers educational expenses, mentorship, leadership, and career development, ensuring recipients are supported until graduation. It aims to foster resilience, integrity, and a service-minded approach among scholars.

Scholarship Categories

Undergraduate (Year 1 to Penultimate Year)

Fully Funded Bridge Scholarship for Nigerian Public University Students – 2025/2026: Eligibility Criteria

• Must be fully enrolled in a public university in Nigeria
• Currently in Year 1 to Penultimate Year
• Demonstrate critical financial need
• Show strong commitment to complete their degree
• Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 or 3.5/5.0
• Exhibit integrity, perseverance, and involvement in community service

Documents Required

  1. Valid ID with photograph (e.g., NIN, Voter’s card)

  2. University admission letter (JAMB or University-issued)

  3. Personal Statement (max 500 words) – Share an adversity story and include contacts of two verifiers

  4. JAMB result – For Year 1 ONLY

  5. WAEC or NECO result – For Year 1 ONLY

  6. University academic record/transcript (Mandatory for Year 2+, optional for Year 1; medical students must include MBBS exam results)

  7. Letter from HOD – stating academic standing (signed and stamped on official university letterhead)

  8. Two (2) recommendation letters (1 page each, signed, with contact details of referees)

  9. Curriculum Vitae

  10. Proof of leadership (if available) – One-page list of leadership roles with contact details of two verifiers

• All letters must be addressed to: “The Bridge Scholarship Board”
• All letters must be typed and signed
• Phone numbers are mandatory; emails are optional
• All documents must be merged into a single PDF in the order listed
