Saïd Foundation UK Master’s Scholarships 2026/27: Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Hold Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese, or Palestinian nationality and permanently reside in one of these countries (Syrians living abroad due to the current situation may also be eligible).

  • Hold or be in the final year of an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK 2:1 or higher.

  • Demonstrate work and/or voluntary experience relevant to their chosen field.

  • Show clear leadership potential and a defined career path upon return.

  • Apply for an eligible course at a partner university (or provide valid reasons for applying to a non-partner university).

  • Meet English language requirements:

    • IELTS: 6.0 overall (min. 6.0 in each band)

    • Duolingo: 105 overall (min. 105 in each band)

    • TOEFL iBT: 80 overall (min. 20 in each band)
      (Certificates must be dated after 1 Oct 2024 and submitted with the application)

Saïd Foundation UK Master’s Scholarships 2026/27: Eligible Courses

  • One-year Master’s programs in the UK

  • All academic subjects accepted (must contribute to home country’s development)

  • Must be at a partner university, unless course is unavailable there

Required Documents

  • High school certificate

  • University transcripts & graduation certificate (or current transcripts if still studying)

  • Passport or national ID from an eligible country

  • English language test certificate (meeting the Foundation’s requirement)

  • Offer letter(s) or proof of application to chosen UK universities

  • Three reference letters (academic, professional, voluntary)

  • Updated CV (max. two pages, no photo)

Reference Guidelines

You must submit three different referees:

  • Academic – former lecturer/professor assessing academic ability

  • Professional – employer or supervisor highlighting relevant skills & leadership

  • Voluntary/Extra-curricular – person overseeing community or voluntary work

Application Deadline

  • Online application closes: 31 October 2025

  • Final date to upload university offers (if unavailable at submission): 30 January 2026
