Al-Maktoum College Hamdan Bin Rashid Scholarship 2025: Overview

The Al-Maktoum College Hamdan Bin Rashid Scholarship 2025 is a £6,000 living support award offered by the University of Dundee in partnership with Al-Maktoum College Dundee. It is designed for international students pursuing MSc Islamic Finance-related programmes, starting in September 2025.

Al-Maktoum College Hamdan Bin Rashid Scholarship 2025: Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must:

• Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for one of the following MSc programmes at Dundee:

  • Islamic Banking and Finance MSc

  • Islamic Banking, Finance and International Business MSc

  • Islamic Finance MSc

  • MSc Islamic Finance and the Digital Economy

  • MSc Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Islamic Finance

  • MSc Islamic Finance and Artificial Intelligence for Business

• Start studies in September 2025.

• Have been awarded the University of Dundee Global Excellence Scholarship.

• (If from International College Dundee) – Hold the Progressing with Excellence Scholarship.

 Note: You cannot receive both the Hamdan Bin Rashid award and the Al-Maktoum Living Support Bursary – only one will be awarded.

Value

• £6,000 living support bursary (paid as 10 monthly instalments of £600).

• Paid directly into your UK bank account after enrolment.

• Not deducted from tuition fees.

• Only 4 awards are available for the September 2025 entry.

Application Process

• No separate application required.

• All eligible Global Excellence award holders will be automatically considered.

• You may be invited to submit a personal statement to strengthen your application.

• To be considered, you must hold an Unconditional Offer by 31 July 2025.
