Axel Adler Scholarship 2026: Overview

The Axel Adler Scholarship 2026 is a prestigious tuition fee waiver awarded to outstanding international students applying for Bachelor’s or Master’s programs at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. It is funded by the Adlerbertska Scholarship Foundation, Adlerbertska Grant Foundation, and the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR). The scholarship aims to recognize academic excellence and attract top-performing students to the University of Gothenburg. Selection is based primarily on the applicant’s academic qualifications and alignment with the chosen program.

Axel Adler Scholarship 2026: Eligibility

To qualify for the Axel Adler Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

• Be required to pay tuition fees in Sweden (non-EU/EEA citizens).

• Apply for an international campus-based program at the University of Gothenburg as their first priority.

• Apply and be admitted to a full-time Master’s or one of the following Bachelor’s programs:

  • Software Engineering

  • International Relations

  • Business and Economics

  • BFA Programme in Metal Art

  • BFA Programme in Wood Oriented Furniture Design

  • BFA Programme in Craft (Specialisation in Crafting Futures)

• Have submitted their study application by 15 January 2026.

• Have paid the application fee and documented their eligibility by 2 February 2026 via universityadmissions.se.

• Receive an email invitation and apply for the scholarship between 10 – 28 February 2026.

Axel Adler Scholarship 2026: Benefits

• Full tuition fee coverage for the entire duration of the program:

  • Master’s programs: 2 years (4 semesters, 120 credits)

  • Bachelor’s programs: 3 years (6 semesters, 180 credits)

• FAS+ insurance coverage, issued by Kammarkollegiet, for health and accident protection during the study period.

• Access to international student support and career services at the University of Gothenburg.

Note: The scholarship does not cover living expenses, travel costs, or accommodation.

Conditions

• Scholarship holders must complete at least 75% of their semester credits to retain the award.

• The scholarship may be revoked if the student:

  • Fails to start their studies on time, or

  • Does not follow the university’s academic regulations.

Application Process

1. Apply for admission to an eligible Bachelor’s or Master’s program at the University of Gothenburg via universityadmissions.se by 15 January 2026.
