Erasmus Mundus GLOCAL International Master’s Scholarship 2025: Overview

The GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s (EMJM) programme is a prestigious, EU co-funded scholarship for outstanding international students pursuing the International Master in Global Markets, Local Creativities. This two-year programme is jointly offered by top European universities and equips students with the skills to understand globalization through economic, historical, and cultural perspectives.

Erasmus Mundus GLOCAL International Master’s Scholarship 2025: Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Hold a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of Glasgow (the coordinating institution).

• Not have previously received an Erasmus Mundus scholarship.

• Submit all required documents by the deadline.

• Meet all academic and language requirements set by the GLOCAL consortium.

Note:

• The scholarship is open to applicants from any country, but a maximum of 6 scholarships per nationality will be awarded over four programme editions.

• Additional scholarships (up to 20) are available for applicants from specific target regions as defined by the European Commission.

Benefits

Recipients of the Erasmus Mundus GLOCAL Scholarship receive:

• Full tuition fee coverage, including deposit.

• Full insurance coverage throughout the study period.

• A monthly subsistence allowance for living expenses.

• A travel and installation contribution, depending on the chosen payment option.

Payment Options:

• Option One: €1,000 advance payments (3 times) + €1,275 monthly for 2 years.

• Option Two: €1,400 monthly for 2 years (no travel allowance).

Fellowship/Program Components

• Study at multiple partner universities across Europe.

• Participate in international workshops, internships, and cultural immersions.

• Develop a deep understanding of global economic systems, local markets, and creative industries.

• Graduate with a joint degree recognized across Europe.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following:

• Completed online application via the University of Glasgow portal.

• Academic transcripts and certificates.

• Proof of English language proficiency.

• Personal statement explaining motivation and career goals.

• Two academic references.

Selection Criteria

Applications are evaluated and ranked by the GLOCAL consortium based on:

• Personal Statement: 40%

• Academic Merit: 30%

• Quality of References: 10%

• Other relevant experience (research or professional): 20%

Top-ranked applicants will be awarded scholarships, and a reserve list will be maintained in case of withdrawal.

Application Process

1. Apply for admission to the University of Glasgow and secure a conditional or unconditional offer.

2. Complete the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship application form available on the official GLOCAL website.

3. Submit all documents before the scholarship deadline.

4. Await results — scholarship awards will be announced by 7 April 2025.
