Overview

The GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Programme is a prestigious, fully funded master’s program co-funded by the European Union (EU). It offers outstanding students worldwide the opportunity to earn an International Master’s in Global Markets, Local Creativities (EMJM).

The program is designed for future leaders, researchers, and professionals interested in global business, local development, and cultural innovation. Scholarships are awarded to academically excellent candidates based on merit and regional representation.

Eligibility

• Open to students from all countries worldwide.

• Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of Glasgow (the coordinating institution).

• Applicants must not have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s (EMJM) scholarship.

• All required documents must be submitted by 12 January 2025; incomplete or pending applications (“holding for documents”) will not be considered.

Benefits

The Erasmus Mundus GLOCAL Scholarship covers:

• Full tuition fees, including deposit (completely paid by the EU and GLOCAL consortium).

• Comprehensive insurance coverage.

• Contribution toward travel and installation costs, helping with visa and relocation expenses.

• Monthly living allowance for the full two-year study duration.

Payment Options:

• Option 1:

  • Three advance payments of €1000 each (for visa and relocation assistance).

  • Followed by a €1275 monthly allowance throughout the 2-year program.

• Option 2:

  • Continuous €1400 monthly payments for two years, without travel or installation assistance.

Fellowship/Program Components

• A two-year master’s degree focused on globalization, innovation, entrepreneurship, and local development.

• Multinational study track across partner universities in Europe.

• Collaboration with international scholars, policymakers, and organizations in sustainable and creative industries.

Application Requirements

Applicants must:

1. Apply to the University of Glasgow and secure at least a conditional offer.

2. Submit a GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Application Form.

3. Provide supporting documents as specified on the How to Apply page.

Selection Criteria

Applications are reviewed by the GLOCAL Consortium based on:

• Personal Statement: 40%

• Academic Merit: 30%

• References: 10%

• Other Factors (e.g., research or professional experience): 20%

Scholarships are awarded to the highest-ranking candidates, while a reserve list is maintained in case of withdrawals.

Application Process

1. Apply to the University of Glasgow for admission to the GLOCAL program.

2. Complete and submit the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Application Form before 12 January 2025.

3. Await selection results — to be announced by 7 April 2025.

4. Successful applicants will begin their studies in September 2025.
