Quantity Surveyor at Casafina Development, Lagos, Nigeria

Responsibilities

• Identify credible vendors & suppliers for materials required for production
• Ability to prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and budget forecasts.​​
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Monitor project expenditures and track budget variance
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions through collaboration with internal teams
• Determine project costs (materials & workmanship) after receiving/preparing the cutting list for specific projects
• Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs for ongoing and upcoming projects
• Prompt costing of materials for new jobs after receipt of briefs or drawings (cost estimate and planning)
• Cost control and valuation
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to the factory/site, and ensure it is in the right quantity and quality.
• Keep and update records of purchases, invoices, and update databases of materials/stock
• Coordinate project works and efforts
• Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Fresh Graduate
• HND/BSC. in Quantity Surveying
• Must have completed mandatory National Youth Service or currently serving in search of PPA
• Must have at least 1-2 years’ verifiable experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Construction or Real Estate Industry, this will be an added advantage
• Willing and ready to learn
• Highly creative
• Good use of Microsoft office tools
• Good confidence and basic negotiating skill/experience
• Basic knowledge of vendor sourcing, market survey
