Overview

The 2025 NNPC Limited Chevron Joint Venture (JV) National University Scholarship is a prestigious annual program aimed at supporting academically outstanding Nigerian undergraduate students. This initiative, a major part of Chevron’s social investment in education, provides financial assistance to qualified full-time students across all states in Nigeria to ease the cost of university education.

The scholarship is open to 200-level (second-year) students admitted in the 2023/2024 academic session from approved Nigerian universities. It also includes a special category for blind and visually impaired students.

Eligibility Criteria

For Regular Students

Applicants must:

• Be full-time 200-level undergraduates in a Nigerian university.

• Be admitted in the 2023/2024 academic session.

• Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale.

• Have at least six O-level credits in one sitting.

• Be studying one of the following courses:

  Eligible Courses:

  • Accountancy

  • Agricultural Science

  • Architecture

  • Business Administration / Economics

  • Computer Science

  • Environmental Studies / Surveying

  • Geology / Geophysics / Geo-Informatics

  • Law

  • Mass Communication / Journalism

  • Engineering

  • Dentistry

  • Pharmacy

  • Medicine / Surgery

For Blind or Visually Impaired Students

Applicants must:

• Be full-time 200-level undergraduates in any discipline.

• Have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 5.0 scale.

• Have at least five O-level credits.

Required Documents

Before applying, ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following:

• Recent passport photograph (white background, max 200kb)

• School ID card

• Admission letter

• Birth certificate

• O’Level result

• JAMB result

• Local Government Area identification letter

Application Process

To apply:

1. Visit https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/2025CNLawards

2. Click “Apply Now”, then “Register Now” to create an account.

3. Activate your account through your email.

4. Return to the portal and log in using your details.

5. Fill out your personal, academic, and contact information.

6. Upload all required documents in the correct format.

7. Verify that all names match across your documents (upload affidavit if necessary).

8. Submit your application and print your profile.

9. Have your Head of Department (HOD) sign the printed profile.

10. Scan and re-upload the signed copy for verification.

11. (Optional) Update your application with your National Identification Number (NIN) once obtained.

Important Notes

• Application is free — no payment or agent involvement is required.

• No computer-based test will be conducted. Selection will be based on academic performance and credentials submitted.

• Multiple applications lead to automatic disqualification.

• Successful candidates cannot transfer the award to another university or course.

• Only applications submitted via Scholastica will be considered.
