University of Bath International Excellence Scholarships 2026 – Study in the UK with Up to £24,000 Tuition Support

Overview

The Bath International Excellence Scholarship is a new and competitive award offered by the University of Bath (UK) for outstanding international students beginning undergraduate study in September 2026.

The scholarship provides £8,000 per year (up to £24,000 over three years) for exceptional achievers pursuing bachelor’s degrees across most programmes at the university.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be new first-year applicants for an undergraduate course beginning in September 2026

• Be classified as overseas fee-paying students

• Hold an offer of admission for any eligible undergraduate course

⚠ Not available for the March Architecture degree (but available for BSc Architecture).

⚠ Scholarship only applies while you remain classified as an overseas fee payer.

Benefits

• £8,000 annual tuition discount for up to three years

• Maximum value: £24,000

• Partial adjustments apply for programmes that include placements or study abroad years

• Discount can apply to:

  • Preparatory year (Year 0) for MPharm Pharmacy

  • Top-up year for BSc Sport (Sports Performance), with limits

Scholarship is a fee reduction only — not cash and cannot be exchanged for other discounts.

Scholarship Components

The award includes:

• Recognition as a Bath Excellence Scholar

• Ambassadorial expectations — representing Bath within and beyond the campus

Application Requirements

Applicants must complete the online scholarship application form (via Bath Application Tracker) and answer three short-answer questions (750 characters each):

1️⃣ How will the scholarship help you achieve future ambitions?
2️⃣ What accomplishments make you a strong candidate?
3️⃣ How will you contribute to the Bath community as an ambassador?

Applications are evaluated based on academic profile and the quality of responses.

Selection Criteria

• High academic achievement

• Strong personal motivation

• Leadership or community contribution

• Ability to represent the university positively

• Competitive selection — up to 300 awards available

Application Process & Key Dates

➡ Applying early does not give disadvantage — all applications considered equally until the closing date.

➡ Must wait for confirmed fee status if classified as Overseas is pending.

Deferred Entry

• Students holding a deferred offer for September 2026 may apply.

• If awarded a new scholarship, it replaces previous awards.

• If you defer after receiving this scholarship, it is cancelled, but you may reapply in your future entry year.
