Digital Marketing Officer at Avant Tech, Lagos, Nigeria
The Digital Marketing Officer will be responsible for strategizing and executing digital marketing campaigns across various channels to enhance brand visibility and drive customer acquisition. The role involves managing SEO/SEM, content marketing, social media, email campaigns, and data analytics to optimize marketing efforts. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives, ensuring effective communication and brand consistency.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Digital Marketing Platforms: Proficiency in managing and optimizing campaigns across various digital marketing platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
- SEO/SEM: Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM). Experience with tools like SEMrush, Moz, or Ahrefs is essential for keyword research, website audits, and performance analytics.
- Data Analytics and Reporting: Expertise in using advanced analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Tableau for interpreting complex data, creating detailed reports, and making data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts.
- Content Management and Development: Ability to develop, manage, and optimize content across multiple platforms, ensuring it aligns with SEO best practices and meets company goals. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress is crucial.
- Email Marketing and Newsletters: Experience with designing and executing email campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp or HubSpot, focusing on personalization, segmentation, and tracking engagement metrics.
- Social Media Management: Strong experience in creating, managing, and enhancing the presence of a brand on social media platforms through both organic and paid strategies.
- Marketing Automation and CRM Integration: Proficiency in integrating marketing automation tools with CRM systems to streamline, automate, and measure marketing workflows and customer interactions.
- App Store Optimization (ASO): Skills in optimizing mobile app listings to maximize visibility and conversion rates in app stores through strategic use of keywords and compelling app descriptions.
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Proficiency in employing CRO techniques such as A/B testing, user experience optimizations, and landing page enhancements to improve conversion rates significantly.
- A/B Testing: Extensive experience in conducting A/B and multivariate tests to optimize digital marketing assets and strategies.
- GDPR Compliance: Understanding of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ability to implement marketing strategies that comply with these privacy regulations.
- PPC Campaign Management: Deep expertise in planning, executing, and optimizing pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns across various platforms to achieve targeted ROI.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to work effectively with web developers and modify web pages or troubleshoot issues in email templates and landing pages.
- Ideation and Creative Conceptualization: Strong ability in ideation and creative thinking to generate innovative marketing concepts and campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
- Market Research: Skilled in conducting comprehensive market research to gather insights into customer behaviors, preferences, and market trends, informing more effective marketing strategies. Tools – Google Analytics, SEMrush, SurveyMonkey, NielsenIQ, Google Trends, Ahrefs, BuzzSumo etc. 1
- Liaison with Graphics Designers: Ability to collaborate closely with graphic designers to ensure that all visual content aligns with the messaging and objectives of the marketing strategy, enhancing brand consistency and appeal.
Professional Experience:
- Campaign Management: Minimum of 4-5 years of experience managing multi-channel digital marketing campaigns with a proven track in enhancing brand visibility and revenue.
- Fintech Industry Experience: Prior experience in the fintech industry is highly desirable, providing an understanding of the market dynamics and regulatory environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications in digital marketing or analytics would be advantageous.
- Personal Competencies: Analytical Thinking: Capable of synthesizing complex data into actionable strategies.
- Creativity: Innovative approach in developing engaging marketing strategies that resonate with the target audience.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities to convey complex ideas effectively and work collaboratively across teams.
