Are you a female undergraduate student studying at a Nigerian university? The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia, Inc. USA (NWAG) is awarding scholarships to 111 female undergraduates across Nigeria in 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to receive financial support and gain recognition for your academic journey.

Scholarship Title

NWAG Award Scholarship 2026 Offered by the Nigerian Women Association of Georgia, Inc. USA (NWAG), awarded to female undergraduate students across Nigerian universities.

Benefits

• $300 (₦ equivalent) for the 2026 Scholarship Award winner per state
• $150 (₦ equivalent) for each 1st runner-up
• $100 (₦ equivalent) for each 2nd runner-up
• 111 scholarships awarded in total — three per state of origin, plus three for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
• All amounts paid in Naira equivalent

Requirements & Eligibility

• Must be a female undergraduate enrolled in a Nigerian university
• Not open to final year students
• Must submit a completed application form along with the following documents:
  • Proof of State of Origin (letter from university or local government office)
  • Two letters of recommendation from any two of: Pastor/Imam, Village Head, Local Government Chairperson, or University Lecturer/Head of Department
  • One letter of recommendation from the Dean of your Faculty or School Head of your Department
  • Photocopy of current university student ID card
  • A current photograph of yourself
  • A statement (no more than half a typed page) explaining why you need and deserve the scholarship
  • A type-written, double-spaced, two-page essay on the topic below:

2. Complete the form and gather all required documents
3. Submit everything via email — include your state name and full name in the subject line
4. Applications must be submitted on or before May 31, 2026
