The African Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC) is inviting applications for its 2025 Fellowship Program. This opportunity is open to early-career journalists under 30 with five or fewer years of experience, and mid-career journalists with over five years of experience. Freelance journalists are also encouraged to apply.

AIJC 2025 Investigative Journalism Fellowship for Early and Mid-Career African Journalists Eligibility

  • Early-career journalists: Under 30 years old with five or fewer years of journalism experience

  • Mid-career journalists: With five or more years of journalism experience

  • Freelancers are eligible

  • Must possess a valid passport (valid for at least 6 months after the conference dates)

  • Must be able to produce an investigative piece based on the conference within 3 months after the event

  • Must submit proof of identity and a CV including published work
