MIDE Programme 2026 with or without a DAAD Scholarship Overview
The Master in International and Development Economics (MIDE) program invites applications for the April 2026 intake starting 1 July 2025. This competitive postgraduate program is designed for students with a background in economics or related fields, offering both self-funded and DAAD scholarship options. The MIDE program is hosted in Germany and caters to international students interested in development policy and economic transformation.
MIDE Programme 2026 with or without a DAAD Scholarship Eligibility
To apply for the MIDE 2026 program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Academic Qualifications:

First university degree with 180 ECTS credits (or equivalent).

At least 15 ECTS (3 modules) in Economics.

Language Requirements:

Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent).

For DAAD Scholarship Applicants:

Must be from a developing country.

At least two years of professional experience post-graduation.

Application Requirements
All applicants must upload electronic versions of the following documents when submitting the MIDE application form:

Signed letter of motivation (maximum two pages, dated)

Transcript of records and degree certificate(s) (with certified English or German translations if necessary)

Explanation of grading system (if not included in your transcript)

Curriculum Vitae (in Europass format, signed and dated)

Proof of English proficiency

Secondary school leaving certificate, showing graduation date
Additional documents required ONLY for DAAD applicants:

Academic letters of reference are not required for any applicants.
