Applicants must:

  • Be female, indigent, and a Nigerian citizen.

  • Be embarking on tertiary education for the first time.

  • Have secured admission or be enrolled in a full-time accredited undergraduate program in:

    • Medicine

    • Law

    • Actuarial Science

    • Engineering

    • Accountancy

    • Architecture

    • Other recognized professional courses in public Nigerian universities.

  • Demonstrate financial need (based on family income, assets, and size).

  • Show academic excellence and leadership potential.

ASMAF Scholarship 2025 for Indigent Female Students in Nigeria | Full Tuition + Living Support: Benefits

The ASMAF Scholarship provides:

  • Full tuition, board, and upkeep allowance for up to 6 years (depending on the course).

  • Life skills & leadership development programs, including mentorship.

  • Access to resources, tools, and networks for academic and professional growth.

  • Annual renewal of the scholarship, subject to:

    • Maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0.

    • Submission of an annual Progress Report.

    • Active participation in all ASMAF programs.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

  • Completed online application form.

  • Letter of university admission (JAMB admission letter).

  • Academic records:

    • WAEC, NECO, GCE or other approved exam results.

    • Post-JAMB results (if applicable).

    • Certified transcript or university registration evidence.

  • Letters of recommendation:

    • Academic referee (teacher, principal, counselor, lecturer, etc.).

    • Financial referee (adult of reputable character familiar with the student’s financial background).

  • Evidence of financial need (income and family status).

Selection Criteria

  • Verification of eligibility and financial need.

  • Academic excellence in required professional fields.

  • Ranking by course of study, state of origin, and the university’s geographical zone.

  • Availability of scholarship funds.

  • ASMAF’s decision is final and binding.

Application Process

  1. Fill out the online form before the deadline.

  2. Submit all required documents.

  3. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

  4. Successful applicants will receive an official offer letter.

  5. Awardees must respond within the specified timeframe.

Conditions of Award

Awardees must:

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.

  • Submit an annual progress report.

  • Not engage in full-time work (part-time allowed with approval).

  • Not accept another scholarship without ASMAF’s approval.

  • Not transfer the scholarship to another institution or student.

The scholarship will be terminated if academic progress is unsatisfactory, false information is provided, or the awardee fails to meet ASMAF’s conditions.
