Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be domiciled in the UK or Ireland

  • Be eligible for Home tuition fees

  • Have applied for an eligible Master’s programme at the University of Birmingham

  • Submit a complete Master’s application with all required documents

  • Complete the Birmingham Masters Scholarship application form

Priority Consideration:

  • Graduates from Midlands-based universities will be prioritised (talent retention focus)

Eligible Nationalities / Regions

  • Open to all nationalities

  • Must be resident in the UK or Ireland

  • Must qualify for Home fee status

Application Process

  1. Apply for an eligible Master’s programme via the University of Birmingham course page

  2. Receive your programme application ID

  3. Complete the Birmingham Masters Scholarship application form

  4. Enter your correct application ID

  5. Submit before the relevant round deadline

Application Deadlines (3 Rounds)

  • Round 1: 8 December 2025 (23:59 UK time)

  • Round 2: 30 April 2026 (23:59 UK time)

  • Round 3: 31 July 2026 (23:59 UK time)

Final Deadline: 31 July 2026

Selection & Key Conditions

  • Applications are assessed on a rolling basis

  • Applicants placed on reserve are automatically carried forward to the next round

  • Scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee discount

  • High competition due to limited awards

  • Must hold a valid Master’s programme application
