Commonwealth Shared Scholarship at Brunel University London 2026: Overview

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship supports talented students from least developed, low- and lower-middle-income Commonwealth countries to pursue a fully funded Master’s degree in the UK. Brunel University London offers two scholarship slots for the 2026/27 academic year.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be citizens of eligible Commonwealth countries

  • Apply for a full-time Master’s program at Brunel

  • Demonstrate academic excellence

  • Show how their studies will contribute to the development of their home country

  • LLM Artificial Intelligence, Law and Technology

  • MSc Renewable Energy Engineering

Application Requirements

  • Completed application through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission portal

  • Academic transcripts and degree certificates

  • Personal statement demonstrating development impact

  • Research proposal (where required)

  • Proof of citizenship and residency in an eligible Commonwealth country

Selection Criteria

  • Academic merit

  • Quality and relevance of the proposed study or research

  • Potential developmental impact on the applicant’s home country

Application Process

  • Submit application through the CSC online system

  • Brunel will review eligible applications and invite shortlisted candidates for interviews

  • Final nominations are sent to the CSC for verification
