DAAD EPOS Scholarship 2025–2026 at Leipzig University Overview

Leipzig University’s SEPT MBA in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Development is a competitive international program that focuses on empowering professionals to foster SME growth and innovation. The program welcomes candidates from all nationalities and offers the DAAD EPOS scholarship for eligible applicants from developing countries who are committed to advancing development in their home regions.

DAAD EPOS Scholarship 2025–2026 at Leipzig University Eligibility
Applicants must:

  • Hold an undergraduate degree with at least 180 ECTS or equivalent from a recognized institution

  • Have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in SME promotion or training

  • Demonstrate English language proficiency via:

    • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 78

    • IELTS Academic: Overall band of at least 6.0

    • OR a university-issued English proficiency letter if the medium of instruction was English

  • Meet specific regional requirements:

    • Indian applicants with a 3-year bachelor’s degree must have at least 60% or GPA of 3.0 and above

    • Chinese and Vietnamese applicants must submit an APS certificate

TOEFL ITP, TOEIC, and IELTS General Training are not accepted.

DAAD EPOS Scholarship 2025–2026 at Leipzig University Benefits

Successful DAAD EPOS applicants receive:

  • Full tuition waiver

  • Monthly stipend

  • Travel allowance

  • Insurance coverage

  • Support for study and research stays in Germany, plus exposure to a global SME-focused academic environment

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following documents in PDF format:

  • Motivation letter (max 2 pages, dated and signed)

  • Curriculum Vitae in Europass format (dated and signed)

  • School-leaving certificate (high school diploma)

  • University degree certificates and transcripts, with the grading system explained

  • Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS or English-medium letter, not older than 2 years)

  • Proof of at least 2 years of work experience, signed and stamped by the employer

  • Employer recommendation letter, signed and stamped

  • DAAD EPOS application form

  • DAAD checklist, completed and hand-signed

  • Proof of application to other scholarships (if applicable)

Documents in other languages must be translated into German or English by a certified/sworn translator.

Selection Criteria

Applicants are evaluated based on:

  1. Academic background

  2. Professional experience

  3. Motivation and alignment with program goals

  4. Potential impact in the home country

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews before final selection.
