Deakin RTP and DUPR Scholarships for 2025: Overview
Deakin University is offering two prestigious postgraduate research scholarships for both domestic and international students: the Research Training Program (RTP) funded by the Australian Government and the Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (DUPR) funded by Deakin. These scholarships support outstanding candidates pursuing a Master’s by Research or Doctoral degree.

Annual stipend of $35,550 (2025 rate, tax-free)

Tuition fee offset for up to 4 years (PhD) or 2 years (Master’s)

Relocation allowance: $500 – $1,500 for students moving interstate or internationally

Must be enrolled or intend to enrol in a graduate research program at Deakin University

Minimum of four years of tertiary education

Achieved at least 80% or equivalent in the research component of prior studies

Meet Deakin’s entry requirements for research degrees

Not receiving other income exceeding 75% of the scholarship value for living expenses

International applicants must meet English language requirements
