Overview

The Discover Canada – Alberta 2026 Cultural Exchange Program offers participants an immersive experience in one of Canada’s most iconic regions. Alberta’s breathtaking landscapes, rich Indigenous heritage, and vibrant multicultural communities provide the perfect backdrop for intercultural dialogue, leadership development, and global citizenship building.

The program will take participants through the urban vibrancy of Calgary, the natural wonders of Banff National Park, and the scenic beauty of Kananaskis Country — locations celebrated for hosting international events, including the 51st G7 Summit in 2025.

Application Deadline: March 15, 2026

Program Dates: May 26–29, 2026

Location: Calgary, Banff & Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada

Participants: 30 individuals

Application Fee: $52 USD

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be able to communicate in English (no certificate required)

  • Have a strong interest in Canadian culture and history

  • Be active on social media (preference for photographers, videographers, travel bloggers, and content creators — but open to all)

  • Prior travel experience preferred, but not required

  • No academic or professional background restrictions

Program Goals

  • Promote intercultural dialogue and understanding between Canada and the world

  • Showcase Canada’s Indigenous heritage, environmental values, and multicultural society

  • Foster leadership and global citizenship among participants

  • Build international cooperation networks focused on peace, sustainability, and cultural exchange

Funding Information

  • Fully funded: Covers participation costs, accommodation, and activities

  • Partially funded: Covers some expenses; participants contribute the rest
