DW Traineeship 2027: Overview
The DW (Deutsche Welle) Traineeship 2027–2028 is one of the most prestigious journalism training programs in Germany and worldwide. This 18-month paid program offers aspiring journalists the opportunity to develop high-level multimedia and reporting skills with Germany’s international broadcaster.
Participants will work in DW’s editorial offices in Bonn and Berlin, as well as across regional bureaus worldwide, gaining hands-on experience in modern journalism, storytelling, and digital media innovation.
Eligibility
Applicants must:

Be creative, open-minded, and critical-thinking individuals with a passion for journalism.

Have a background in journalism or wish to transition from other fields such as law, economics, science, or technology/IT.

Be fluent in at least two languages (bilingual program).
