Important:
Applying for this scholarship is not the same as applying for a PhD. You must separately apply and secure a doctoral position at Heidelberg University.

Scholarship Benefits

• €1,500 monthly stipend

• Up to 36 months of funding

  • Initial approval: 24 months

  • Possible extension: 12 months (based on progress)

Funding Conditions (Important Rules)

• Cannot hold another scholarship at the same time

• Work allowed:

  • Maximum 25% graduate assistant position

  • Must not conflict with scholarship duties

• Academic progress is monitored:

  • Interim report by student & supervisor required

  • Funding may be withdrawn if progress is insufficient

• Tax status depends on individual circumstances (check with tax office)
