Endeavour II Scholarships Scheme 2025 for Master’s and PhD Studies in Malta: Overview

The Endeavour II Scholarships Scheme, co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021–2027, supports high-quality postgraduate education in Malta. It aims to enhance the competitiveness of the Maltese labour market by funding studies at MQF Level 7 (Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s Degree) and MQF Level 8 (Doctoral/PhD studies). The scheme empowers both young and adult learners to pursue advanced academic or vocational qualifications and contribute effectively to the Maltese economy.

Endeavour II Scholarships Scheme 2025 for Master’s and PhD Studies in Malta Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be applying for an MQF Level 7 or MQF Level 8 qualification.

• Not already possess a Doctorate/Professional Doctorate or equivalent Level 8 qualification.

• Not apply for a course lower than a master’s degree if already holding an MQF Level 7 qualification.

• Be in possession of a valid Maltese E-ID.

• Be available to begin their course between May 9, 2025, and May 8, 2026.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

• A complete online application through https://myscholarship.gov.mt.

• All mandatory documents listed in Clause 8 of the Endeavour II 4th Call Regulations (2025).

• Application during the official window: May 9, 2025 – June 13, 2025 (noon local time).

Selection Criteria

• Alignment of the proposed study with Malta’s economic needs.

• Applicant’s academic background and motivation.

• Compliance with all documentation and eligibility rules as per the official guidelines.

Restrictions

• Applicants with an existing MQF Level 8 qualification are not eligible.

• Holders of a Level 7 qualification can apply for another master’s but not for lower-level postgraduate diplomas.

• Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

• Technical issues close to the deadline are the applicant’s responsibility.
