FMCIDE Build-A-Thon Holiday Camp 2025 for Nigerian Students (Ages 10–18): Overview

The Build-A-Thon Holiday Camp 2025, organized by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy (FMCIDE), is a transformative tech bootcamp designed to introduce Nigerian students aged 10 to 18 to coding, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Scheduled to kick off in August 2025, this initiative is part of FMCIDE’s national strategy to promote digital literacy and nurture innovation from a young age. Students will engage in hands-on learning using DIY kits, interactive labs, and practical workshops across four cities in Nigeria.

FMCIDE Build-A-Thon Holiday Camp 2025 for Nigerian Students (Ages 10–18): Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be 10 to 18 years old

  • Must be interested in learning coding, IoT, and embedded systems

  • Must be resident in or able to attend camp in one of the following locations:

    • Abeokuta

    • FCT (Abuja)

    • Benin City

    • Kano

Documents Required

  • Completed application form

  • Proof of age or school ID

  • Parental/guardian consent

Important Notes

  • Program starts on August 11, 2025

  • Aimed at building soft and hard tech skills through fun and practical activities

  • Open to students from across Nigeria

  • No cost to participate (government-sponsored initiative)
