Fully Funded PhD Scholarships in High Performance Computing in Germany: Overview
The NHR Graduate School awards up to 9 fully funded PhD scholarships annually to outstanding students worldwide interested in High Performance Computing (HPC). Scholars will join one of the NHR Centers affiliated with top German universities and engage in cutting-edge HPC, numerical simulation, and AI/ML research.

Eligibility Criteria
✅ Hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
✅ Interested in pursuing a PhD in High Performance Computing
✅ Meet the doctoral admission requirements of the chosen NHR Center
✅ Demonstrate English language proficiency (TOEFL 79+, IELTS 6.5+, or equivalent proof)
✅ Open to applicants from all genders and backgrounds

• Research statement (1–2 pages outlining dissertation interest and preferred NHR Center)
