Overview
The E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarships for Science, Technology & Innovation (STI) are fully funded Master’s scholarships jointly supported by the Egyptian Government and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency).
The programme is designed to develop high-quality African researchers, lecturers, and STI leaders, while strengthening long-term Africa–Japan–Egypt academic and innovation networks.
This scholarship supports African students (excluding Egyptians) to pursue an M.Sc. degree at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) starting Fall 2026.
Eligible Fields of Study
Applicants can study M.Sc. programmes in:

Basic & Applied Sciences

Humanities & Heritage Science
Who Can Apply? (Eligibility)
Applicants must:

Be a national of an African country (excluding Egypt)
-
Be resident in an African country
-
Be a researcher, instructor, or prospective academic/research professional
-
Intend to return to their home institution or country after graduation
-
Not be currently serving in the military
-
Meet E-JUST admission requirements

Pass the academic interview and oral examination

Obtain institutional endorsement if currently employed by a university or research institution (preferred)
Scholarship Benefits (Fully Funded)
The TICAD8 Scholarship covers:

100% tuition fees

On-campus accommodation

Monthly living stipend

Medical care

Round-trip international flight tickets (home country ↔ Egypt)
Scholarship Duration

2 years for the M.Sc. programme

Plus up to 6 months of preparatory courses (if required)
Scholarship continuation depends on:

Semi-annual evaluation reports submitted to the sponsor
