Fully Funded Youth of Excellence Scheme of China (YES China) 2026: Overview
The Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program (YES China), sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), is a fully funded master’s scholarship designed to train future global governance leaders with exceptional academic, leadership, and multicultural capabilities.
In 2026, 200 talented professionals from around the world will be selected to pursue English-taught master’s programs at top Chinese universities, all under the prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship.
The program focuses on equipping future policymakers, executives, and scholars with the knowledge and practical experience to promote sustainable development and international cooperation.
Eligibility
To apply, candidates must:
- 
Be a citizen of a country other than China and under 45 years old. 
- 
Be in good health, both mentally and physically. 
- 
Hold at least a bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of three years of work experience. 
- 
Have professional experience related to the intended field of study (preferred). 
- 
Fall under one of the following categories: - 
Government officials (Division Chief or above) 
- 
Senior managers in institutions or enterprises 
- 
University or research administrators 
- 
Professionals with experience in international organizations 
 
- 
- 
Obtain a pre-admission letter from a participating Chinese university (without scholarship mentions). 
Scholarship Coverage
The YES China Program is a full scholarship, covering:

Tuition fees

Accommodation on campus

Monthly stipend

Round-trip international travel (as per CSC policy) 
Program Details
- 
Level: Master’s Degree

Duration: 12 months (some programs follow a “1+1” model — one year in China, one year for research in the home country)

Degree Award: Master’s degree from a top Chinese university upon successful thesis defense 
Students in the “1+1” model will complete their coursework in China during the first year, return to their home country for professional practice and dissertation writing, then return to China for the final defense.
