Graduate Assistantships at Sykes College of Business 2025: Overview

The Sykes College of Business offers Graduate Assistantships (GAs) to highly qualified full-time graduate students beginning in the Fall or Spring semesters. Assistantships are awarded competitively and by invitation only, based on academic excellence.

Graduate Assistants receive tuition support, stipends, and professional work experience while contributing 20 hours per week to academic or administrative offices.

Graduate Assistantships at Sykes College of Business 2025: Eligibility

• Incoming full-time graduate students in eligible programs

• Must maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA

• Available to students starting in Fall or Spring semesters

• Must carry a full course load of 8–14 credit hours per semester

Benefits

• Tuition waiver for 8–12 credits per semester (up to 36 credits total if renewed)

• $1,500 stipend per semester, administered via the Financial Aid Office

• Valuable work experience in academic or administrative roles (20 hours/week)

• Professional development and mentorship opportunities

Fellowship/Program Components

• GA duties: Academic or administrative office support (primarily during working hours, with some exceptions per position description)

• Positions are assigned based on department needs

• Ongoing eligibility requires academic performance and work commitment

• Strong academic record (competitive selection process)
