The Jack Hirst Scholarship offers a fully funded opportunity for outstanding Nigerian students to pursue a Master’s degree in Chemistry at Imperial College London. This scholarship is designed to support talented individuals currently studying or conducting research in Chemistry at a Nigerian academic institution.
Jack Hirst Scholarship 2025 for Nigerian Students in Chemistry at Imperial College London Eligibility
To be eligible for the Jack Hirst Scholarship, applicants must:

Be a Nigerian national

Be studying or researching Chemistry at a Nigerian academic institution at the time of application

Have received an offer of admission to an eligible Chemistry Master’s program at Imperial College London for the 2025/2026 academic year
-
Be applying for full-time study
-
Not be a continuing student at Imperial College

Notify the Chemistry Department of their interest in the scholarship by emailing chemres@imperial.ac.uk by the deadline

Applicants must have an offer to study one of the following postgraduate courses:

MRes in Advanced Molecular Synthesis

MRes in Biological and Physical Chemistry

MRes in Catalysis: Chemistry and Engineering

MSc in Digital Chemistry

MRes in Drug Discovery and Development: Multidisciplinary Science for Next Generation Therapeutics

MRes in Green Chemistry, Energy and the Environment

MRes in Nanomaterials

Full tuition fees at the overseas student rate
-
Annual stipend equivalent to the UKRI rate (to cover living expenses)
Application Requirements

Submit an application to an eligible Chemistry Master’s course at Imperial College London

Receive a formal offer by 23:59 (UK time) on 23 May 2025

Email the Chemistry Department (chemres@imperial.ac.uk) expressing interest in the scholarship by the same deadline
Selection Criteria
The award will be given to the most outstanding candidate who meets all eligibility requirements and submits a complete application by the deadline.
