Accounts Officer at Tetra Maritime, Lagos

Tetra Maritime is looking for 2 Accounts Assistants to support our Accounting Function.

This role will be based in our Lagos office, 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cash & bank book, bank reconciliations
  • Preparing schedules for tax returns – VAT, withholding taxes, audit schedules
  • Preparation of sales invoices, credit notes, and sales summary analysis
  • updating vendor & customer accounts and reconciliations
  • Sales and purchase transactions entries in the accounting system
  • Bank Payments vouchers preparation
  • Inter-company reconciliations
  • Documents upkeeping for audits
  • Aid during audits – documents readiness, schedules preparation, filing and document ownership
  • Visits to bank and tax offices for compliances
  • Any other jobs may get assigned as and when need arises

Requirements

  • BSc / MSc in accounting, Computer knowledge – MS office, accounting software – Tally/Sage/SAP is must
  • Work experience in any manufacturing unit / shipping agency
