Job Title: Business Development Representative
The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for generating new leads, initiating contact with potential clients, and qualifying prospects for our sales team. This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable with outbound communication, research, and building rapport with potential clients. The BDR will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to support the overall business development strategy.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential leads and target industries/sectors.
- Reach out to leads through various channels, including cold calling, emails, social media, and networking events.
- Introduce Maropost’s products/services to potential clients, highlighting our value propositions and benefits.
- Qualify leads by assessing their needs, budget, timeline, and decision-making authority.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and demos between qualified leads and the sales team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions and information in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment between outbound efforts and overall lead generation strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and competitive landscape to provide relevant insights during prospect interactions.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and objection handling skills.
- Meet and exceed individual and team-based targets for lead generation and qualification.
What you’ll need to bring to Maropost:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience in outbound sales, business development, or lead generation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Persuasive and confident demeanour with the ability to handle objections and rejections professionally.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with CRM software and lead tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a drive to exceed targets and quotas.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Knowledge of eCommerce and Retail trends and terminology is a plus.
