Summary of the Role:

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and operations to support the company’s rapid growth and expansion in the cosmetic sector. Reporting directly to the CEO/COO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and risk management..

Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and senior management team based on financial analysis and projections.

Financial Operations:

• Manage day-to-day financial operations and oversee the finance team.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and liquidity.
• Implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Investment and Funding:

• Evaluate capital investment proposals and manage relationships with investors and financial institutions.
• Lead fundraising efforts, including debt and equity financing.

Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate financial risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance.

Strategic Leadership:

• Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing insights and recommendations on business strategy and operations.
• Collaborate with other department heads to drive company-wide initiatives and goals.
• Participate in strategic decisions regarding expansion, partnerships, and mergers/acquisitions.

Team Development:

• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a high-growth startup environment or relevant industry.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts into strategic insights.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Including cash flow modeling.
• Demonstrated success in fundraising, capital allocation, and investor relations.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
