Job Title: Collateral Manager

The Collateral Manager will oversee the entire collateral management process for the bank’s SME and corporate lending portfolios. This includes assessing, monitoring, and valuing collateral to ensure proper risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Collateral Assessment and Valuation:
• Evaluate and value collateral
• Coordinate with third-party valuers
• Maintain accurate collateral records
• Collateral Monitoring and Management:
• Implement collateral monitoring processes
• Conduct regular reviews and audits
• Manage the collateral release process
• Documentation and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies
• Stay updated on regulatory changes
• Coordinate with legal and compliance teams
• Risk Management:
• Identify and mitigate collateral-related risks
• Develop strategies to minimize exposure
• Prepare reports on collateral performance
• Process Improvement:
• Review and enhance collateral management processes
• Implement best practices and leverage technology
• Provide training to staff
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Collaborate with credit, legal, and operations teams
• Serve as the primary contact for external valuers
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate reports on collateral portfolios and performance
• Provide insights for decision-making
• Ensure timely reporting to management and regulatory bodies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A master’s degree or professional certification is an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in collateral management or related areas
• Understanding of SME and corporate lending, and collateral valuation methods
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in collateral management systems and financial analysis tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
