Community Operations Lead at Aptos, Remote (Global)
We’re hiring a Community Operations Lead to help scale and streamline one of the most distributed, engaged, and high-impact communities in Web3. This role sits at the core of our global community strategy—supporting operations, regional contributors, grants, and reporting systems to ensure execution at scale. As a key partner to the Head of Community, you’ll be instrumental in driving operational excellence, strengthening contributor support, and surfacing insights that influence product, marketing, and ecosystem priorities.
This role reports to the Aptos Foundation.
Responsibilities:
Community Ops & Reporting:
- Partner with the Global CM reporting lead to manage weekly reporting systems across 15+ regional CMs
- Maintain Airtable, Notion, and Google Sheet dashboards to track program milestones, sentiment, and engagement
- Track and report on community OKRs to align with broader team goals
- Ensure internal tools and documentation are up-to-date, including calendars and event trackers
Program & Regional CM Support:
- Provide playbook guidance and operational support to regional CMs to increase participation and execution
- Identify under-resourced regions and help activate programming through toolkits, guidance, or executional support
- Assist in onboarding, documentation, and tracking for the Aptos Collective and regional CM contributions
- Support internal communications across the 15+person part-time CM team to surface wins and risks
Grant Operations:
- Support the newly launched Community Grants program by tracking over regional events and content creators
- Assist in evaluating applications, following up on deliverables, and maintaining grant dashboards
- Coordinate reporting for grant outcomes and recommend process improvements
Research & Experimentation:
- Help research and support pilot programs for new community verticals (e.g., NFTs, creator initiatives)
- Support early stage experiments in content, programs, and partnerships
Cross-functional Communication:
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Community and relevant stakeholders across ecosystem, product, and marketing
- Draft summaries, compile data, and help create reports that drive internal alignment
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of experience in community operations, ecosystem support, or program management roles
- Proven ability to support or scale distributed community teams, including event execution and contributor onboarding
- Deep familiarity with crypto and Web3 culture, including current narratives, ecosystem dynamics, and community tooling (e.g., Discord bots, TG moderation, Twitter/X workflows)
- Experience with ambassador programs, community campaigns, or grants evaluation and tracking
- Operational rigor with a growth mindset; you understand how to track impact and optimize for engagement and contribution
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize community feedback into actionable insights
- Comfortable using Notion, Airtable, Google Sheets, and async collaboration tools
- Clear communicator, able to manage multiple stakeholders across time zones
