Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Course Development Specialist/Instructional Designer. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for creating, designing and maintaining personal, professional and business development courses that facilitate learning experiences for our clients. You will work with subject matter experts, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure that our clients receive comprehensive, engaging and impactful learning materials for their all round development.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Course Design and Development:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop course curricula that meet learning objectives.
• Create engaging course materials, including video content, interactive modules, and downloadable resources.
• Ensure content is pedagogically sound, engaging, and aligns with the latest industry trends.

Content Creation and Management:

• Write and edit course content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
• Develop advanced templates and tools to enhance course practicality and user experience.
• Manage the production of course materials, coordinating with video editors, graphic designers, and other technical staff.

Quality Assurance and Improvement:

• Conduct regular reviews of course content for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Gather and analyze participant feedback to make informed updates and enhancements.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in e-learning, instructional design, and career development fields.

Collaboration and Coordination:

• Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align course development with broader business strategies.
• Coordinate with IT and technical staff to ensure smooth course delivery and platform integration.
• Participate in team meetings, providing updates and insights on course development progress.

Must Have Requirements

• Honesty, Integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Educational Psychology, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in course development and instructional design, with a portfolio of learning materials developed for diverse audiences
• Proficiency in creating interactive and engaging learning materials using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Lectora
• Experience in creating and implementing learning design frameworks, including ADDIE, SAM, and Agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Excellent research skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Familiarity with current technologies and trends in learning and development, including microlearning, gamification and mobile learning.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in personal and development coaching, or related fields.
• Understanding of personal and professional development, and adult learning principles.
• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and digital course platforms.
• Strong creativity and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work EST hours when needed and weekends when required.
